Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments Revised Due to COVID-19

BWTP PC recently sent an email blast out to clients regarding taking another look at prepared 2020 quarterly estimated tax payments due to changes caused by COVID-19.

The email blast stated:

“We hope you and your family are safe and staying healthy.

In order to provide the best possible customer service and tax guidance, we are sending this email to determine if you want us to take an additional look at the 2020 estimated tax payments generated and provided to you when your 2019 income tax return was finalized.

We understand the global pandemic of COVID-19 has caused a significant change in our client’s 2020 income. If COVID-19 has impacted you, the 2020 estimated tax payments you were provided might need some adjusting. We want to make sure your 2020 estimated tax payments reflect your projected 2020 taxes.

If you would like us to take a look at your 2020 estimated tax payments for possible revisions based on 2020 income fluctuation from 2019, please reach out to Judi King at jking@bwtpcpa.com.”

If you did not receive this email, but think we need to take a look at your 2020 estimates, please reach out to Judi.
